Santa Looks Different

I was caught off guard, and almost caught.

While organizing pics by theme (holidays, vacation, school pics, etc) I came across 2 Santa pictures (one from 2008 and the other from 2009) with my youngest son, Christopher, sitting on Santa's lap.  He wanted to see and so I showed him, and he asks, "Why does Santa look so much younger in this pic?"

I was usure how to answer and responded with, "Good question.  Go ask Dad."

And then his dad said, "Yeah, Santa looks different every time I see him, too. When I was a kid he was Black."

Christopher said, "That's weird."

Santa Claus and Chris

I was so excited to plan this trip to the mall to have Christophr meet Santa Claus.  Christopher was so excited at first, and then we saw him sitting there.  Christopher started to withdraw.  He looked like he was going to cry and didn't want to talk or look at the camera.  Because Chris was looking to his left, Santa decided to look to his left, too.

Even though Chris was scared, afterward he told me he liked Santa Claus.

Family Photo 2005

Here's our family photo for 2005 Christmas cards.  Christopher doesn't know anything about smiling for strangers.  This is his second "Christmas" photo ever and last year's he screamed and cried in.  This is much better.

A Baby is Born

This is Christopher's first family photo with us. He was born September 6, 2004.

He started off okay, and then he began screaming.  This was our Christmas picture (no red and green, because I wanted it to be displayed all year round and not be out of season).  I took this picture early, because I didn't want Christopher to get too big before we had our first family portrait.

Kalib is prematurely missing a tooth from playing with his sister.  Look how smug she looks.  This picture, overall, tells you how chaotic it is to have children!

It is a lovely picture.

Oh, hi.
